We strongly believe that new approaches are needed towards energy, transport and climate change. We have worked on

  • The appraisal of sustainability for HS2, with Temple Group
  • A climate change strategy for Buckinghamshire, with Best Food Forward
  • Quality review of the appraisals of sustainability prepared for the London Sub Regional Transport Plans
  • Critical analysis and input to the planning inquiry re. the regeneration implications of the Thames Gateway Bridge, for Transport 2000
  • Provision of expert evidence (written and oral) at the inquiry into Stansted Airport ‘Generation 1’, for Stop Stansted Expansion
  • Work for the Aviation Environment Federation on preparing a planning handbook for opponents of airport expansion
  • ‘Carbon neutral Welsh communities’, for the Welsh Local Government Association
  • Guidance on carrying out strategic environmental assessment for transport plans and programmes, with TRL
  • Analysis of the effectiveness of different forms of cycle-friendly infrastructure and practices in encouraging cycling, for Transport for London
  • Review of the economic benefits of cycling for the cycling charity Sustrans
  • ‘Leading the Way: how local authorities can meet the challenge of climate change, for the Local Government Association and Energy Saving Trust
  • ‘Carbon emissions from the South West, and implications for the Regional Spatial Strategy, for the South West Regional Assembly
  • Oral evidence on proposals for carbon assessment of the Scottish budget to the Transport, Infrastructure and Climate Change Committee of the Scottish Parliament
